Your visit
Prepare a viewing of the house in Voglans
Take time to explore the layout, the outdoor spaces and the setting, then discuss the documents with the owners.
Before booking
Look through the property photographs and description, and note the features that matter most to you. Make a separate list of questions that need an answer. Viewings are by appointment: tell the owners your preferred dates and how much time you have, especially if travelling from abroad.
If you need an English-language discussion, agree the arrangements in advance or bring someone who can help with translation. The English pages do not imply that an interpreter is available.
Walk through both levels
Upstairs, look at the kitchen, living room, light and terrace access. On the lower level, explore the three bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry and storage. Try the route from the parking area to the living spaces and assess the stairs for your household.
Outside, check the pool, garden, boundaries and neighbouring views. Listen to the surroundings: the owners report possible main-road and airport noise. Another visit at a different time may help. Remember that the garage shares a wall and the property is not step-free.
Before deciding
Distinguish questions answered during the viewing from those requiring documents or professional advice. Ask for the full energy report, applicable diagnostics and available equipment records.
- Note any room or equipment you want to inspect again.
- Request missing documents without assuming what they contain.
- Arrange a follow-up discussion with the owners.
For the purchase process, consult your notaire. The official Service Public guide to preliminary sale agreements is a useful starting point.
